The following section by Joon and Phoebe
[Alarum within. Enter, with drum and colours, KING LEAR, CORDELIA, and Soldiers, over the stage; and exuent.]
[Sounds of the drums with the bloody battle: KING LEAR, CORDELIA, and SOLDIERS are on the stage then exit.]

EDGAR [orig.] Here, father, take the shadow of this tree
For your good host; pray that the right may thrive:
If ever I return to you again,
I'll bring you comfort.
EDGAR [trans.] Here you go father, be resting here under the tree’s shadow. Pray that we will win—if I ever come back here, I’ll bring you support.

GLOUCESTER [orig.] Grace go with you, sir!
GLOUCESTER [trans.] Good Luck.

Exit EDGAR
Alarum and retreat within. Re-enter EDGAR
Exit EDGAR
The battle sounds again and it faints: Re-enter EDGAR

EDGAR [orig.] Away, old man; give me thy hand; away!
King Lear hath lost, he and his daughter ta'en;
Give me thy hand; come on.
EDGAR [trans.] Let’s go father, let me help you get up! We have to go!
Don Lear is defeated: he and his daughter are both captured.
Give me your hand, let’s go.

GLOUCESTER [orig.]No farther, sir; a man may rot even here.
GLOUCESTER [trans.] Not anymore… I think one can even die here.

EDGAR [orig.] What, in ill thoughts again? Men must endure
Their going hence, even as their coming hither;
Ripeness is all; come on.
EDGAR [trans.] Are you thinking such depressing thoughts again? Men must endure. We come and go when our time comes. We just have to wait for the right time. Come on.

GLOUCESTER [orig.] And that's true too.
GLOUCSTER [trans.] You're right.
